Best Tincture

Tincture dropper

Tinctures are my recommended method for getting CBD into your system.  It works really fast, within minutes, because it’s absorbed under your tongue.  Lots of websites sell tinctures, so how could I possibly recommend one product over another?  For me it comes down to service and I’ve got a recommended retailer that tops the list.

CBDPure.com sells a high quality CBD tincture called CBDPure Hemp Oil 300 (click to visit their product page).  This is an unflavored full spectrum oil that delivers 10 mg of CBD per mL.  The natural flavor of this CBD oil is nutty and earthy.  It isn’t sweetened with Stevia or any other high intensity sweetener which I really appreciate.  It’s a solid product at a decent price.  But it’s the company and customer service that really differentiates this product for me.

CBDPure Extraordinary Customer Service

Live Chat: First of all, the CBDPure.com website provides live chat with really helpful support people.  They are available Monday through Saturday from 8am – 8pm EST.  This is something I haven’t found on any other CBD retailer site.  It’s really nice to be able to talk with a live person in real time while your shopping.

90 Day Return Policy: Something else I’ve only seen on CBDPure.com is their 90 day return policy.  This policy even covers product that has been opened.  The only way to really know if CBD is for you is to try it.  And as we all know, CBD isn’t cheap.  So their extremely generous return policy provides peace of mind that if you don’t like their product for some reason you can get your money back.

Discrete Shipping: One other feature about ordering from CBDPure is they send their products in discrete shipping packages.  This may not be a big deal for some people, but for others it may mean a lot.  Not everyone wants their mailman or other people knowing what supplements they take into their body.  CBDPure’s discrete shipping helps protect your privacy.

Quality Product

Besides all the customer service features mentioned above, CBDPure 300 Hemp Oil hits all my checkmarks I look for when buying CBD oil:

  • It’s made from natural and organic industrial hemp.
  • It’s free from pesticides, herbicides, and other contaminants.
  • It’s extremely low in THC (0.001%) so you won’t get high and your chance of failing a drug test is extremely low.  (Even if all the THC in a serving of this oil were to be put in an average urine sample it still wouldn’t produce a positive result.)
  • Third party tested to independently ensure quality

I’ll admit you can purchase CBD oil for a few dollars cheaper than what CBDPure sells theirs for.  But I haven’t seen another site quite like theirs when it comes to customer service.  And once you know you like their product, you can start buying in larger quantities and the price becomes very competitive with other websites.

Considerations for Buying CBD Oil

Regardless of where you buy your CBD oil, there are several things you should consider.  Here are my main points I would suggest.

Organic Hemp: Hemp is known to absorb chemicals from the soil.  You can kind of think of hemp as a sponge.  If there are any harmful chemicals from herbicides and pesticides in the dirt, they will likely end up in the hemp.  This means they’ll also be present in the oil that comes from that hemp.  Hemp that is organically grown should mitigate any risk of harmful chemicals in the product.

Third Party Testing: This is kind of becoming industry standard, but be sure to double check that the product is being tested by a reliable third party.  And make sure the vendor is willing to share the results.  It shouldn’t be a big secret!

Things that should be tested for and included in the results are:

  • CBD content
  • THC content
  • Pesticide/Herbicide free
  • Microbiology (free from harmful bacteria that can cause illness)
  • Any residual chemicals remaining from the oil extraction process (there shouldn’t be any!)

CO2 Extraction: The way the CBD oil is pulled (extracted) from the hemp plant is important.  Most companies now are using CO2 to pull CBD and other helpful compounds from the hemp.  Lesser common methods include the use of harmful chemicals like ethanol and butane.  Most of these chemicals are removed after extraction but it’s not unlikely there could still be some residue in the finished product if solvent extraction is used.

THC Content: As I’ve mentioned in several of my blog posts, THC is what gets you high.  If your goal is to NOT get high then always verify the THC content of any CBD oil product you purchase.  If the products come from hemp then it will have less than 0.3% THC.  This level is well below the amount needed to produce any kind of psychoactive effects, or “high”.

If you’re looking for a CBD product that will get you high, you’ll need to visit a different blog.  CBD Health Central is not going to be a helpful resource for you.  We don’t recommend products that have psychoactive effects.

Dosing Considerations: Remember that CBD tinctures are absorbed in your mouth.  This route of absorption is way more efficient than a capsule or gummy bear which is swallowed and absorbed through your digestive system.  You will likely get as much CBD in your system from a 10 mg dose of CBD tincture than you will from a 35 mg capsule or gummy bear.

If you’re switching to tincture from a capsule that has 35 mg of CBD, don’t think you need to take 35 mg worth of CBD in your tincture.  My recommendation is to always start off with a low dose for a few days.  Then increase slowly until you obtain the desired results.

If the flavor of CBDPure isn't for you...

If you find that you’re stuggling with the natural flavor of CBDPure don’t panic; their are other options.  The one I’d recommend trying first is:

CBD Essence Hemp CBD Oil provides a strong alternative to CBDPure 300 but they offer tons of different flavors.  The list includes:

  • Cinnamon
  • Grape
  • Mango
  • Spearmint
  • Vanilla

CBD Essence is a solid company with a good product.  You won’t go wrong by purchasing their CBD oil!  They also have a very convenient auto ship feature so you don’t have to go online every month to re-order your CBD.  Once you know you like their product you can just set it up to come to you every month automatically.
